We had the pleasure of working with Ashland Advertising to shoot a commercial for their client, Toyota of Gastonia and Mazda of Gastonia.
The original concept (including a naked sales staff) was a little too racy for television, so Ashland opted to go down a much safer and more personal path by focusing on what sets Toyota and Mazda of Gastonia apart from the competition: their people.
We spent the day with the lovely people at Toyota and Mazda of Gastonia, and they were gracious enough to let us set up shop in their showroom. We shot our Aputure LS1 LED light panel through diffusion to help add to the natural light coming through the windows. We shot in 4K on the Sony a7SII using our Rokinon 24 and 50mm glass, and used a Konova slider to add a little bit of cinematic movement to the shots.
If you live in the Charlotte/Gastonia area, check out WJZY and WBTV and you might just see our handiwork on the big screen!
